Lauren Wolfgang

General Counsel

As General Counsel of Evergreen Apartment Group, Lauren Wolfgang is responsible for effectively integrating the functions of her department into operations, protecting the organization from liability, maintaining compliance with all laws, codes and regulations, the development of all human resource polices, assisting in tax planning and oversight of all legal matters including court proceedings and collections. In addition, she is responsible for all transactional contracts including vendor and lease agreements as well as all legal matters pertaining to financing, acquisitions and dispositions.

Lauren joined the company in 2003. She received a B.A. with Distinction from the University of Michigan. She received a J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law. She is a barred attorney in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey and a member of the Delaware State Bar Association. Prior to joining the company full-time, Lauren clerked for a Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice and worked at a private practice in Delaware. Lauren's legal knowledge and business experience have enhanced company profitability and facilitated the sophistication of the company's risk management and transactional practices.

Lauren is also a principal and provides legal counsel for Del-Star Construction Company, Inc., a stand-alone company that executes many of the renovation and capital improvement projects at Evergreen properties. 

Lauren has used her legal expertise beyond the scope of the company in capacities such as appearing before various real estate boards and legislative officials. She has quickly become one of the foremost legal authorities on industry affairs in the State of Delaware, and has facilitated landlord-tenant relations by introducing revisions to the summary of the Delaware Landlord-Tenant Code and the drafting of legislation for the Delaware code. Lauren has also worked pro bono on the DAA Renter Resource Center and Apartment Angels programs.
